Hamerex - 'Rites of Passage' Album Cover

The cover illustration for Hamerex' 'Rites of Passage' album, released in February 2012. It took me a little time to get this one onto the web   which is kind of a shame since it's one of my favourite works.

The image is a composite of a carved relief sculpture photographed from numerous angles, recoloured and enhanced in Photoshop, cobined with details of photographs and vector illustrations inspired by Gothic architecture.
